Today we start our new topic on our Monday posts for the next weeks. We are talking about “What to wear when” – a question I hear from almost every client. Most of them expect a one-sentence-answer as “the red dress with high heels or the black pants with the white shirt” ….. But it is never that simple. Every occasion has own rules and circumstances which need to be noticed. The only simple thing that always is valid: It’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Because you are worth to make always the best out of yourself and honor your host.
Of course the guidelines we are talking through the next weeks aren’t meant as a dogma, but there are certain social occasions in which you should know the rules to not drop a brick. And even to break the rules you should know them. 😉 We also talk about where strict dress codes have space to show your personality and to make a statement. We are going to talk about different dress codes, circumstances and situations that put demand on your choice of clothes to fit the bill. Our first topic next week will be the official dress codes, what they mean and how to dress therefor. So stay tuned and see you next Monday Xo Johara Was trägt man wann Heute starten wir mit dem neuen Thema unserer Montags-Posts. Wir sprechen darüber, was man wann trägt. Eine Frage, die ich oft von meinen Kunden höre. Viele erwarten dann eine einfache Antwort wie: “Rotes Kleid und High-Heels“ oder „schwarze Hose und weiße Bluse“. Aber so einfach ist es nie. Jede Gelegenheit hat eigene Regeln und Umstände, die berücksichtigt werden sollten. Nur eine einfache Aussage hat immer Gültigkeit: Es ist immer besser „overdressed“ zu sein als „underdressed“. Weil du es wert bist, immer das Beste aus dir selbst zu machen und weil du deinen Gastgeber damit ehrst. Natürlich sind die Richtlinien über die wir sprechen werden keine Dogmen, aber es gibt bestimmte gesellschaftliche Gelegenheiten, in denen man die Regeln kennen sollte, um nicht in ein Fettnäpfchen zu treten. Und gerade auch dann, wenn man sie brechen will.;-) Wir werden auch darüber sprechen, wo strenge Dresscodes Platz lassen, um die eigene Persönlichkeit zu zeigen und ein Statement machen. Wir werden über verschiedene Dresscodes, Umstände und Situationen besprechen, die eine bestimmte Auswahl der Kleidung erfordern, um den Anforderungen zu entsprechen.
